教育研究

The mission of the 教育学院 is to prepare lifelong reflective educators who exhibit flexibility, 同情, 协作, and 以学生为中心 pedagogy knowledge and skills. The 教育学院 offers strong experiential, 以学生为中心, and responsive program preparing students to develop:

The 教育学院 offers an undergraduate major in 教育研究 for students interested in the study of educational foundations, 方法, 和流程.

The major includes a culminating capstone where students will engage in an educational experience to deepen their understanding of the complexity of education and schooling as well as develop the ability to think critically about the ways in which education intersects with a broad range of 社会, 文化, 政治, 经济力量.

• 学生 will reflect on their understanding of how individual differences and diverse cultures impact education to create inclusive learning environments that enable each learner to meet high standards.
• 学生 will design and implement developmentally appropriate and challenging learning experiences that reflect their understanding of how learners grow and develop, recognizing that patterns of learning and development vary individually within and across the cognitive, 语言, 社会, 情感, 物理区域.
• 学生 will demonstrate they have acquired and mastered the dispositions defining professionalism.

领域经验

The faculty in the 教育 programs are committed to ongoing and frequent observation and involvement in schools. All students engaged in education courses will spend time in a field setting in each of the semesters for which they are registered for education courses. Involvement in the schools will be connected to specific, course-related tasks (e.g., observation, teaching lessons, conducting experiments, administering assessments, etc.). 学生 in 教育研究 will also have internship experiences in school or educational settings that support their career aspirations.

转移信用

Courses completed at a不her accredited college can be transferred to this degree program. Transferred courses must be reasonably close in scope and content to the required courses offered at UNE in order to count as exact equivalents. Otherwise, they may transfer as general electives.

All courses completed must be no older than five (5) years. 适用其他限制.
